What is an “Inactive Voter”?
An Inactive Voter does not mean someone that has not voted recently. It means that the Town Clerk’s Office does not have a census form from you for the current year. Every June 1st, voters who have not returned their annual census form become “inactive voters”, regardless of whether they have recently voted.
What This Means to You When Voting?
If you are an “inactive voter” and want to vote (either by mail, during early in-person voting or on election day), you will be required to show proof that you still live in Weston. You will be required to complete and sign a form and to show identification. This will slow you down at the polls!!!
What You Can do to Become “Active”?
It’s easy to reinstate your Active status! Stop by the Town Clerk’s Office with appropriate ID and we can provide you with a new census form that will update all voting members of your household. It’s fast and easy --- and a better plan than dealing with it on election day!
If You Are Not Registered to Vote
You must register to vote by Saturday, October 24th, otherwise you will not be able to vote. Make sure your children who will be 18 by Nov. 4th are registered. If they are out of state, determine where their vote will have the greatest impact, and try to have them register in that state.

Early Voting Options
To avoid potential interference with voting and to avoid lines, vote as early as you can.
In-person early voting at the Town Clerk’s Office at Town Hall will start on October 17th.
No excuse Vote by Mail is available. Completed applications (including a signature) must be received by the Town Clerk's Office by Tuesday Octber27th. Applications can be found here
If you would like to avoid the USPS, and you requested a mail-in ballot, you may vote in person if you choose to, or you can drop your mail-in ballot in the drop box in front of the town hall .
Early In-Person Voting Schedule in Town Hall:
Saturday October 17th: 10AM-4PM
Monday October 19th - Thursday October 22nd: 9am-3pm
Friday October 23rd: 9AM-12:30PM
Saturday October 24th: 10AM-4PM
Monday October 26th - Thursday October 29th: 7:30AM-5PM
Friday October 30th: 7:30AM-1PM
Vote In Person on Election Day, Tues. Nov. 3, 2027:
Polls open at 7am and close at 8pm.
Precincts 1 and 2 vote at the Town Hall
Precincts 3 and 4 vote at the Community Center.
