Indivisible Weston’s Accomplishments Since its founding in July 2025:

  • Held weekly organizational meetings every Monday;

  • Written and Sent the Indivisible Action Newsletter to 310 Weston households every week, promoting:

  • “Weekly Institution to Defend,” participation in local activism, safety marshal training, phone banking, educational programs, anti-ICE activities, support of national pro-democracy organizations, election protection organizations, and education about supporting the most impactful midterm races;

  • Held 5 Speakers Forums over 8 months, focusing on: Challenges to Our Constitutional Democracy; ICE in Our Backyard; The Existential Threat to the US Rule of Law; The State of Healthcare in America; and The Threat to Free and Fair Elections;

  • Written thousands of voter registration postcards to critical districts;

  • Held bi-weekly Bridge Brigades over the Mass Pike, with signs and coordinated with nearby towns’ bridge brigades;

  • Held bi-weekly “flowerpot standouts” in Weston Center on Saturday mornings;

  • Organized carpools to the local venues of No Kings, May Day, other nationwide protests, and Citizens Bank boycotts;

  • Participated in Waltham's immigrant emergency response organization's protest march against ICE;

  • Coordinated activities with Indivisible groups in surrounding towns;

  • Developed an Indivisible Weston logo, website, Facebook page, and yard signs - we even have our own cartoonists!

Indivisible Weston members have:

  • Worked with the Weston School Committee to develop a protocol to protect students, staff, and others if ICE should try to enter school grounds;

  • Joined Waltham’s immigrant emergency response team to deliver food and other services to immigrants who are threatened by local ICE roundups;

  • Published 4 articles in the Indivisible Mass Coalition (IMC) online publication, Indivisiblog;

  • Attended MA State House hearings on immigrant protection legislation;

  • Attended MA DOT hearings on the use of the Hanscom Airport to transport immigrant detainees;

  • Participated in lobbying at the Mass State House to eliminate non-medical exemptions from school vaccine mandates;

  • Attended Bearing Witness protests at the Burlington ICE Detention Center; and

  • Joined the IMC Feminist Action Team to provide scientifically correct information to counter the disinformation and propaganda that the “Mass Citizens for Life” organization displayed on the UMass Amherst campus.
